HealthCare System and because it is the basis of a country
As we all know, a country is made up of the people who live in it. That is why I am absolutely convinced that the healthcare system is the pillar to determine the quality of a country.
Now hear me out, have you noticed that the countries with a better quality of life have a higher quality of healthcare system, this is not a coincidence. Take Greenland for example, where the overall life expectancy is higher than the world average by 1.4 years (that 's crazy!), and that's because it's free (up to a point), including prescription drugs and other medical supplies.
Let's compare with Chile, where we have a mixed health care system, one public (FONASA) and one private (ISAPRE) and where the overall life expectancy is the same as the world average.
Did you know? FONASA is ranked by the World Health Organization in 33rd out of 190 countries and ISAPRES cannot be ranked because their care varies according to medical treatment
(And you might ask yourself "how, despite having a high quality of healthcare in FONASA, there are so many complaints about this system?" This is because the waiting times are RIDICULOUS, due to system collapses caused by poor management and scarce medical supplies).
Hello! I'm agree regarding the healthcare system is the pillar to determinate the quality of a country, however I think that to achieve this equality we first need to improve the public system because if we don't improve this public health system, no one would be assured of good health in those conditions. But if we have all this achieved, Chile finally will have a good system as pillar to determine equality.
ResponderEliminarHi, I agree with you, the most developed Countries always have free healthcare because they know that it is a priority and they emphasize quality. ISAPRE will always be a doubtful system, since as you mentioned, it will always depend on who attends you and where you attend.
ResponderEliminarHello, it is true, almost 80% of Chileans are affiliated to FONASA, all this due to the high cost of the private health system plans, knowing this, the State should provide more funding to the public health system to improve patient care and facilitate the incorporation of more trained doctors to expand the coverage of care.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, Chile is far from having a decent health system, I hope that the next governments give importance to health, because it is not possible that good health is only for people with money, it is a right to have public health quality.
ResponderEliminarYou are right, there is an undeniable relationship between the quality of life and the level of health, without a doubt one of the worst failures of the system is waiting times, I agree with you
ResponderEliminarI agree with you, you are totally right that the healthcare system is the pillar to determine the quality of a country, but the part I most liked was when you said a country is made up of the people who live in it, because thats what kind of country do not care about his people?
